Wondering which is the best way to tackle your health concerns that may be hormone related? Need guidance on what to tackle first if you have a number of health problems? With help from the team at our Austin Integrative Medicine Center, you can achieve your best health.

The wellness educational consultations at our Austin Integrative Medicine center are not intended to serve as medical advice for treatment. Instead, they are intended to provide healthcare information to work with your own personal healthcare provider.

The consultation is intended to address your questions and concerns regarding the effects of environmental toxins on your health and wellbeing. Dr. Sechler will discuss the various hormones involved in our health and wellness, and how these hormones can become disrupted and begin to adversely affect our health.

She will also review the role of the HPA axis in the brain, and how our hormones can become disrupted with stress.

A Deeper Look at Hormonal Health

For our body’s systems to function in harmony a variety of key hormones must be present in adequate amounts and properly balanced. This balance is best achieved by utilizing bioidentical versions of our body’s own hormones that are balanced based on symptom optimization, as well as laboratory guidance.

Simultaneously, care must be given to correct nutritional imbalances, chronic inflammation, free-radical damage, mitochondrial and cellular dysfunction (caused by a buildup of toxic chemicals) can contribute to the normalization of hormone balance and restore more normal hormone levels.
